Volley Näfels is a professional volleyball club based in Switzerland, playing in the Swiss National League. The club has seen immense success during its history, winning the Swiss Championship, Swiss Cup and Supercup numerous times. The club also competes in international competitions hosted by the governing federation, CEV. The project delivers a new art direction, and branded communications.
The project involved undertaking a comprehensive overhaul of the club’s creative direction, intended to elevate brand presence, awareness, and performance. The strategy was to develop a dynamic, bold visual language system that captured the emotion and attitude of the game, providing an authentic reflection of the brand environment and personality. Managing both social media and graphic collateral, I developed and integrated a refreshed art direction that strengthened the club’s identity across digital and print channels. I built a cohesive suite of social media assets, updated printed brochures for home games, and introduced short-form video content that significantly boosted engagement.
This strategic shift resulted in a 300% increase in followers, consistent engagement averaging 10K views per reel, and a standout reel reaching 3.3M views. Through a considered and dynamic approach, I helped position the club as a more impactful and visually compelling presence in the Swiss Volleyball landscape.
Additionally, I oversaw the development of uniform concept tenders as part of a high-stakes sponsorship acquisition pitch, ensuring the designs aligned with the club’s brand vision and commercial objectives. This process played a pivotal role in securing a new main sponsor, directly contributing to a key strategic business goal. By integrating creative direction with commercial strategy, the outcome not only enhanced the club’s visual identity but also strengthened its financial position and long-term partnerships.
